New Airport at Hyderabad

As per the Civil Aviation ministry's notification,  the new Rajeev Gandhi International Airport at Hyderabad has become operational from 00:01 hours on Sunday 23rd March 2008.

Consequently the Begumpet Airport will no longer be available for civil aviation and all flight departures and arrivals  at Hyderabad will be at the new airport.

All Deccan flights to and from Hyderabad  will take off and land at the new Rajeev Gandhi International Airport.

Airport Location:

  • 25 km/ 19 miles from Begumpet.
  • Major approaches to the new airport comprises the four lane National Highway NH-7 and the four lane Srisailam State Highway.

Connectivty to Airport:

  • Public Transport is available.  
  • Dedicated Airport shuttles ply to the Airport and are available from four designated locations in the city.
